I have read the recent post by JHT, however, I would like some comments on basic facts, MAP is bird tuberculosis. Back in the old days cows were given a tuberculin test, and the ones that failed were killed. Later on, it was found that too many failed the test that did not either have human or bovine TB. About 5%.

Scientists devised a new test that eliminated cows with real TB, but those with avian TB were put back in the herd as they still do. Many of these go on to get Johnes. Why not get back to basics?

Eliminate all cows from the food chain that react to the standard tuberculin screening test? Only about 7%

Maybe MAP is Dinasaur tuberculosis. Alan, Zhitz International;
