Why some people may fail anti-MAP therapy, particularly when treated with either rifabutin or rifampicin.  Also check out the possibility found at the end of the full article version which mentions the potential activity of current anti-inflammatory and immune suppressant drugs on MAP and how antibiotic resistant MAP may develop as a result of using them.
