I have received a letter today, source Dame Hutton, Chair, Food Standards Agency, the latest UK MAP progress report is on:-

She has also informed me in the letter that DEFRA is currently carying out a survey in the UK to determine herde prevelence of Johne's disease.

The survey includes testing bulk milk tank samples from the herds taking part for the presence of MAP. The report of the survey is expected to be published later this year.

"On the basis of current knowledge, the FSA's advice is that there is no cause for consumers to change their dietary habits or for a change in how milk is processed. Of course, in the interests of protecting consumers, the FSA will continue to keep a careful eye on developments"  Twisted Evil
