|
|
Well it can be done, about 65% of the uk dairy cows are having their milk tested for MAP antibodies.
Cows are put in three categories, green, amber and red. Red cows are to be prevented from feeding milk to calves.
Will milk from green cows be in demand from us victims and our relatives worldwide?
Obviouslly its a bit early for statistics, but it is estimated that 50% UK herds and 5% heavily infected.
The UK Government were supposed to publish accurate figures in December and also the latest crohns hospital statistics.
Both have been delayed so watch this space?
Details of the Johnes screening are on-

I would like to clarify the situation regarding screening. Although National Milk Laboratories have a scheme to prevent Johnes suspect cows milk being fed to calves, it is not clear if this milk is allowed to be drunk by consumers.
I have asked them and any reply will be posted as soon as possible? |

Sounds like 'good' news; 'good' in that they are doing something.
Thanks for the update! |

I spoke to karen today at Milk Labs, they just test milk and provide a service.
It might be an idea to help the milk testers by promoting their product, etc?
More MAP testing, more profits for the testers !
