By taking human fetal intestinal cells and injecting them into mice and then injecting the mice with MAP and finding MAP to have been able to invade those cells, the researchers were able to (at least tentatively) debunk the long standing 'belief'/'argument' often held/given by MAP naysayers.

Hi David
Interesting paper. I received a copy from Dr. Stein. So I would say, that now Map officially meets all of Kochs postulates. Do you agree? Diane, |

Seems to be fulfilling in an indirect way postulate number 3 (cause disease when introduced into a healthy animal). Even if we could ethically feed humans MAP i doubt that that would help that much given the potentially long sub-clinical stage (for those that may develop disease) and the likely genetic susceptibility required as well.
They say they are going to test the human fetal cells for genetic mutations, which could be interesting. |

Thats great, we now need some brave MAP free doctor to volunteer to be infected, just like helicobacter man did for ulcers.
There are plenty of articles that show that crohns can be spread to animals with human tissue, including rabbits.
One of the most important ones, part of the Sacrohn project, has yet to be published?
