Ok genes matter, but so does lifestyle, what works for you? here are my top 10.
I dont drink milk that is not UHT or boiled.
I dont eat vegetables that cannot be peeled or cooked.
I have high standard of dental and personal hygeine.
I dont smoke, and avoid people that do,
I keep the number of food items I eat limited to essentials.
I avoid food that causes diarrhoea
I dont eat pork, and eat sheep with caution.
I dont eat rare meat or rare vegetables.
I dont put uncooked spices in my food.
I avoid doctors and their drugs, also cranks and crackpots who say they are better than doctors, vaccine inventors and religious fanatics.
What makes you less worse? Comments welcome! Lifestyle Uncrohns?

I avoid:
-dairy, beef and other commonly MAP infected animals;
-sugar, usually (feeds bad bugs);
-gluten (not celiac but have gene for gluten intolerance and it isn't good for healing roughed up guts either);
-smoke, and yeah, tend to avoid second hand smoke;
-eating too many spicy foods but will sometimes;
-raw vegies but will eat them occasionally;
-preservatives and words i can't pronounce (sometimes tough when eating gluten free because gluten free products tend to have a lot of junk in them); and
-stress (easier said than done, especially if in a flare).
I try to:
-stay active
-get lots of sleep and not burn the candle at both ends; and
-laugh.
Very interesting about the not eating too much. I said the other day that I was going to try to cut back on the amount I eat, but that has not happened yet; I tend to gorge myself full. Definitely something worth trying to do.
