http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/health/2004113086_vitd08.html

A stunning discovery, that people deficient in vitamin D are 50-80% more likely to suffer from heart disease.

If we step back and look at the diseases plaguing Canadians, its the big 3.
Heart Disease
Cancer
Osteoporosis

All three are tied to a vitamin D deficiency.

Is anyone else starting to understand just how widespread vitamin D deficiency must be in this country?

Our bodies use about 3000IU per day, and the experts recommend a mere 1000IU per day...

Vitamin D cures TB 100%...
If vitamin D is essential to clear mycobacterium infections, that would explain why us Canadians are epidemic in Crohn's, our vitamin D tanks are running on Empty.

I'm not sure how much more evidence we need before we declare a national emergency over this situation.

Honestly, why isn't this front page news?

What about the Inuit who get hardly any sun?  They rarely get Crohn's.  Also, in Australia and the southern US, where they get plenty of sun, Crohn's rates are still rising.

The Inuit get hardly any sun, however there diet is rich in fish and seal.
They prize the organs of the seal, which are rich is vitamins, especially vitamin D.  They obtain plenty of vitamin D through diet.  This is a known fact.

The vitamin D supplement I use is purified fish liver oil.

In Australia and the US people are increasingly using sunblock and staying out of the sun.  Can you provide a link or site a source for your claims about Crohn's rates in the southerns US?
