INFLIXIMAB (aka Remicade) = #7 DEATH-CAUSING DRUG....

BUT 1-6 ARE SELF-OVERDOSED DRUGS...

HENCE INFLIXIMAB  IS #1 THERAPEUTIC DEATH-CAUSING DRUG IN THE US

And it was also Johnson and Johnson's $3.3 billion baby in 2007.

I'm convinced my GI was/is trying to kill me.
I refused to take Remicade.
I'm doing great, which seems to annoy him, so now the son of a bitch is trying to kill me with CT scans.  "I just want a look" he keeps saying.
I took one CT scan before RMAT, and one during RMAT.

Now the crazy bastard tried to get me to take a CT scan every month.
No more CT scans I tell him.  He keeps signing me up behind my back thinking I will go.

CT scans and Remicade, two quick was to certain death.

Hi,

I think that it was Remicade that killed my husband.  He had two infusions, and side effects started with rigidity, next he developed severe breathing problems, I think the infusion caused lung damage.  Then shortly after infection and infection, abcesses in different parts of the body, and finally C difficille.  I have always thought thought that the Remicade was his downfall.  These pharmaceutical companies and doctors are much to quick to perscribe all these new methods, they don't test them enough.  I guess they test them on us.  Diane

That is tragic.  They are testing them on us.  And they are much too quick!  And have you heard about that recent study published in the Lancent suggesting that we should use a "top down" approach.  That is, start all moderate to severe crohn's patients on remicade and immunosuppressants like 6-MP first, right out of the gate because the people seem to require them anyways after the steroids and this would save money in the long run.  The report was all over the media, ALL over, which shows you how much money the studies' sponsors have, ie the drug cos.

I am so disgusted with the mainstream medical community when it comes to IBD; their research has been hijacked by drug companies targeting, what, immune suppression; well how far has that gotten us?   When will they wake up and try something new?

It is the One Problem One Pill theory
-You go to see your GI and it is like you are in a factory.
-The GI has their factory manual (paid for and updated by the drug cos incidently)
-And they can only prescribe drugs from that manual
-In fact, they won't even recommend a diet (case in point, a recent CCFC newsletter, where the doc they interview says no diet works and you should just follow the Canadian Food Guide for a balanced diet)
-Are you f'ing kidding me, just follow the Canadian food guide, well some people have had success with diet, if not curing, at least minimizing their symptoms (which is all your 'miracle' drugs do anyways, may I remind you)
-So back to the factory
-There is no time to discuss, in fact, discussing is often not allowed ("shut up" he told my mom once)  I was about to punch his lights out
-Reading also isn't allowed: "don't read" another one told us
-Okay, because if we read we would take too much time discussing things with you, and in the factory that can't do
-And if we read we might learn things that contradict the manual, which won't do as well because you only know, and are only allowed to prescribe from the manual
-So basically the GIs are living death; they are just going through the routine, hoping that you won't upset the production line, never thinking for themselves, never trying anything that isn't laid on their lap as being approved through double blind studies
-"Just take your pills and trust, because I am the doc"
-There is no clinical genius going on in the GI ward, they simply prescribe one pill for one problem, there is no overall approach

-I am so frustrated with.....THEIR F'ING COMPLACENCY

One of the sons of this construction company I consult for has Crohns too.
We got along great having been through so much of the same hardships.
He was not doing too well, and went on Remicade for the first time.
4 weeks later his skin started to look sort of black, I thought he was getting a bit more sun and thought nothing of it.
The next week I came back and heard he was admitted to the hospital.

He had gangrene, and it had spread throughout his body.
His body could not fight it off due to the Remicade.
They removed his entire colon, small intestine and pumped him full of antibiotics.

Now the poor guy has to go on IV feeding and whatever he eats goes into this shit bag strapped to his stomach.

This is quackery, these people have no clue what they are doing.
We are still in the days of blood letting.

Sorry to hear about your husband Diane, what a terrible thing to happen.
People are waking up slowly, hopefully these criminals will eventually be put in jail where they belong.
